I am a very passionate person and my love for photography began at a very young age, taking pictures and developing it in my darkroom at home. I studied at the technical university of the free state and completed my degree, specializing in food photography. I also got a opportunity to go to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia where i worked with Grant Gorban, doing wedding photography. I love working with people and get to meet so much on my journey as a photographer. I am inspired with my surroundings and get to travel and not just sit in a office the whole day. I lived in bloemfontein for 10 years, and got to build a name for myself. Wedding photography was part of my main income, but Food photography is where my heart lies. I shot a dessert menu at the Saxon Hotel in JHB and got to work with the amazing Chef Nico van der walt. For many years I was part of the FBI ( Food and beverage institute ) where I also got to live my dream, in doing Food photography. I did numerous menu designs and photography in and around bloemfontein. It was but a year ago, that me and my wife, christine decided to move to the Garden route. I always had a dream to also do underwater photography and wildlife. This opportunity came to me when I started working at FAUP. This gave me the opportunity to learn the skill of underwater photography and wildlife.
